This may come as a surprise, but even after being in this industry for over 14 years, I still take kinky educational classes.
For me, learning has always been an act of devotion — to my craft, my submissives, and to the ever-expanding world of BDSM itself.
BDSM isn’t static. It’s a living language of sensation, psychology, and human connection that continues to evolve as our collective understanding deepens. New tools emerge, new philosophies take shape, and the conversations around consent, trauma, and emotional intelligence grow richer every year. Staying curious is how I stay attuned to that pulse.
Taking classes reminds me that mastery isn’t about knowing everything — it’s about never closing the door to discovery. Every time I learn from another educator, I find a new way to approach power dynamics, to build trust, to explore different forms of aftercare, or to stretch my imagination in how I design scenes. Even a single sentence from another Dominant can spark a whole new way of thinking.
Recently, I took an online class about Emotional S&M taught by Vahavta. It explored the depth of feelings that can be intentionally cultivated and exchanged within play — the intricate dance of vulnerability, empathy, and intensity. I want to share a piece of her writing that she presented during class as it spoke to one of my favorite kinks – Humiliation and degradation.

Continuing to learn keeps me grounded, humble, and inspired. No matter how long I’ve been in this profession, I never want to stop growing.
